The population of the Sopyn village of Pogrebishchensky district of the Vinnytsia region suffered from the Holodomor genocide of 1932-1933. At the cemetery village, in place of mass burial is the Memorial sign in the form of a cross with the memorial plate “Victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933”. Established in 1992.
