Victims: 428

In 1933, four villages belonged to Zakharivka village council: Zakharivka, Mala Berezivka, Mederove, and Lazaropil. According to local historian Oleksandr Oleksenko, about 700 people lived on the territory of the village council in 1932. During the Holodomor yars, 428 people perished.

The majority of the victims in Zakharivka were buried in the common pit at the old cemetery. The bodies of the Holodomor victims were carried by the special workers, who received food retions for doing this.

This mass grave is located on the territory of Romanivka hamlet.
