In the early 1930s, Kozyn had 157 yards (815 inhabitants). In the 1930s, two families were dekulakized. In 1932-1933, about 180 people were starved to death in the village. The survey established the names of 50 people.
One mass grave of the Holodomor victims is known now. It is located in the village cemetery.
