The population of Bukу village (Skvyrskyi district, Kyivska oblast) suffered from Holodomor-genocide of 1932-1933. According to the eyewitnesses’ testimonies, about 183 local inhabitants were killed by famine. 38 of them were identified. In 1992, at the place of the mass burial of Holodomor victims the memorial plague was installed.
