Ther population of Divnynske village (Pryazovskyi district, Zaporizka region) suffered from the Holodomor-genocide of 1932-1933 in Ukraine. According to the eyewitnesses’ testimonies, about 500 local inhabitants were killed by famine. 66 of them were identified.
On November 24, 2007, at the cemetery, at the mass grave of the Holodomor victims, the monument to the 1932-1933 Holodomor victims (granite stone with two metal strips and the memorial sign “Bright Memory to the Innocent Victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 buried here”) was installed.
