The population of Korniivka village (Veselivskyi district, Zaporizka village) suffered from the Holodomor-genocide of 1932-1933 in Ukraine. Due to the data of the State Archives of Zaporizka region and the eyewitnesses’ testimonies, 119 people killed by famine were identified.
On November, 21, 2008, at the cemetery, over the mass grave of the Holodomor-genocide victims, the Memorial sign to the 1932-1933 Holodomor victims was installed.
