The population of Chkalove village (Veselivskyi district, Zaporizka region) suffered from the Holodomor-genocide of 1932-1933 in Ukraine.
On November, 21, 2008, at the cemetery, over the mass grave of the Holodomor-genocide victims, the Memorial sign to the 1932-1933 Holodomor victims was installed.
