The population of Babyntsi village (Pohrebyshchenskyi district, Sumska region) suffered from the Holodomor-genocide of 1932-1933.
The mass burial place of the Holodomor victims is located at the village cemetery. There is the monument – small stone pedestal, where the figure of a woman, exhausted from starvation and holding the dead child, is located. There is the sign “Memory Eternal to Those Hungered in 1933, 398 children and adults from Babyntsi village.” In front of the monument, there is the grave (9 meters x 2.1 meters, 40 centimeters high). At the side of the grave, the metal cross 2.5 meters high was installed.
