The population of Apolianka village (Umanskyi district, Cherkaska region) suffered from the Holodomor-genocide of 1932-1933 in Ukraine. According to the different sources, 65 inhabitants of the village were killed by starvation. 13 of them are identified.
At the cemetery, near the entrance, there is the place of mass burial of the Holodomor victims.
