The population of Vorozhba town suffered from Holodomor-genocide of 1932-1933. People who died from Holodomor were buried at the cemetery on Peremohy street and at the Klymivske cemetery. The corpses of people dead in the trains or in the railway stations were brought here. In 1993, due to the initiative and assistance of the head of Vorozhbianska city council S. I. Dvornyk and the priest of Pokrova church Yaroslav the memorial sign “To the victims of Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine” was installed on Peremohy street.
