The population of Adamivka village (Chyhyrynskyi district, Cherkaska region) suffered from the Holodomor-genocide of 1932-1933 in Ukraine. 7 persons killed by starvation in 1933 are identified. On the photo, made in 1928, there are three of them (Khymenko Ivan Dorofiiovych, born in 1884, Khymenko Hanna Yakymivna, born in 1888, Khymenko Stepanyda, born in approximately 1924-25).
At the village cemetery, there was the place of mass burial of the 1932-1933 Holodomor-genocide victims. In 1959, the village was sunk by the waters of Kremenchutske reservoir.
