Victims: 1014
The population of Ivakhny village (Monastyryshchenskyi district, Cherkaska region) suffered from the Holodomor-genocide of 1932-1933 in Ukraine. Among 1014 people killed by starvation, 392 are identified.
People killed by starvation were buries at two cemeteries. In 2001, at the working cemetery, over the mass grave of the Holodomor victims, the village council installed the memorial sign for the costs of the local budget. The initiator of its installation was active local citizen Mykola Mykolaiovych Shabala.
