The population of Mykhaylenkove village (Okhtyrskyi district of the Sumy region) suffered from the Holodomor-genocide of 1932-1933. In 2006, a memorable sign of Holodomor victims was installed in the cemetery. Volodymyr Kolodyazhnyy was the author and sponsor of the installation of the memorable sign at the place of mass burial of victims.
