The population of Helmiaziv village (Zolotoniskyi district, Cherkaska region) suffered from Holodomor-genocide of 1932-1933. About 706 people died. Among 706 dead people, 590 names of Holodomor victims were established.
At the place of mass burial the monument was installed.
