The population of Krasnopillia village (Krasnopilskyi district, Sumska region) suffered from the Holodomor-genocide of 1932-1933.
The mass burial place is located at the cemetery near the memorial cross. People were buried in the sacks, about 20 people were thrown in each pit. In 1932-1933, about 100 people died of starvation. The eyewitnesses of these events are Hanna Dmytrivna Bondarenko, Yelyzaveta Stepanivna Rybalko, Vasyl Ivanovych Vovk, Anna Andriyivna Bilanova, Tetiana Serghiyivna Pelepets.
