The population of Kurhan village (Lebedynskyi district, Sumska region) suffered from the Holodomor-genocide of 1932-1933. There were mass deaths. People were buried at the cemetery. At the local cemetery, the memorial cross for the commemoration of the 1932-1933 Holodomor victims was installed.
