The population of Savertsi village, (Popilnia district, Zhytomyr region) suffered from Holodomor-genocide of 1932-1933. According to eyewitnesses and old-timers, the Holodomor victims of 1932-1933 of Savertsi village were buried in a rural cemetery at a distance of 1.5 km from the village council, on the left side of the road in the direction to Novoselytsya village. Mazurenko Avram was engaged in burial of the dead from starvation that were buried in common trenches. The exact number of dead is unknown. Surnames of 232 people are researched. The place of mass burial is located on a rural cemetery.
