The population of Novooleksandrivka village (Bratskyi district, Mykolaivska region) suffered from Holodomor-genocide of 1932-1933 in Ukraine. At the cemetery, there is the place of mass burial of Holodomor victims. In 1991, near the central entrance to the cemetery, the Monument to Holodomor victims was installed. The author of the monument is Khiznychenko Viktor Ivanovych.
