The population of Vyshchevesele village (Velykopysarivskyi district, Sumska region) suffered from Holodomor-genocide of 1932-1933. In 1992, due to the initiative of the inhabitants of the village, the memorial monument to the 1932-1933 Holodomor victims was installed at the cemetery.
