The population of Velyka Pysarivka urban-type settlement (Velykopysarivskyi district, Sumska region) suffered from Holodomor-genocide of 1932-1933. In 1992, with the assistance of the head of the village council I. M. Datsenko, the memorial monuments to the Holodomor victims were installed on Kantemyrivska Street and Sumska Street.
