The population of Lokhnia village (Bilopilskyi district, Sumska region) suffered from Holodomor-genocide of 1932-1933. On September 14, 2007, at the mass grave of Holodomor victims, the memorial sign to the victims of 1932-1933 Holodomor was installed for the costs of the local budget. The director of the artistic decoration is A. V. Kuts.
