The population of Borovaurban-type settlement (Fastivskyi district, Kyivska region) suffered from Holodomor-genocide of 1932-1933.A lot of inhabitants of Borova survived, because many of them were working on the local package plant, in the forestry. Few local inhabitants died from starvation, but since the railroad passed along the village, a great number of starving people from other places were dying on Motovylivka station. The corpses were drought together and buries in one big pit. In 2003, on the territory of the old cemetery, the monument to the Holodomor victims of 1932-1933 was installed.
