The population of the Denysy village of Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky district of the Kyiv region suffered from the Holodomor-genocide of 1932-1933. The place of burial of the victims of the Holodomor is a village cemetery, where a concrete cross and an icon in memory of victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 have been set on the initiative of the community.
