Victims: 865

The population of Yukhny village (Myronivskyi district, Kyivska region) suffered from the Holodomor-genocide of 1932-1933.

During 1930-1931, 8 wealthy agricultural farms were dekulakized. In spring of 1930, the representatives and village activists Hrytsko Didyk, Oleksa Starynets, Olaksa Kaplia, Ovram Karpenko, Hrytsko Onuchak, Antin Starynets, Trokhym Kudelia expelled everyone who belonged to kulaks from the houses. S. Ya. Karapyshchenko with his family was exiled to the Solovetsky Islands.

In autumn and winter of 1932, the same activists were looking for bread and other products in all houses. They were hunting for the hidden products by long iron bars, making the mess, and taking out the grain, flour, cereals they have found. They have done their duty to the state, but the peasants were left without the hope to survive. Two carts were going through the village, and picking the dead corpses up, also taking still alive, but exhausted people to the common pits on the cemetery. Up to 20-30 bodies were put in each pit, dusted by ground somehow.

Out of 2800 inhabitants, 865 persons died. Only 35 victims are identified, 17 of them are children.

In 1998, the Memorial cross with the plate was installed at the place of the mass burial, located at the cemetery.
