The population of Semenivka village (Lysianskyi district, Cherkaska region) suffered from the Holodomor-genocide of 1932-1933 in Ukraine. 195 persons were killed by starvation, 40 of which are identified.
According to the memories of the Holodomor eyewitness, former local citizen Ilko Vakulovych Korunets (born in 1922), the bodies of the people killed by famine were thrown to the ditch. There is no memorial sign near the mass grave.
