In 1932-1933, the village suffered from the Holodomor genocide.
At the end of 1929, collectivization began in Andriyivka. The Red Sickle Artel (headed by M. Hordon), the Red Plowman (headed by S. Oleksienko),. Shevchenko (headed by F. Tsymbalyuk), March 8 (headed by M. Gordon) were established. The commune “In Unity of Power” was transformed into an artel headed by D. Mazepa. .
By 1931, Andriyivka was completely collectivized. In 1932, the Andriyivka collective farms merged into one, the Decade of Proletarian Truth farm.
According to the martyrology of the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 from Andriyivka village, compiled according to the eyewitnesses M. Petrushenko, born in 1919, M. Samusenko, born in 1915; N. Oleksienko, born in 1927; O. Vorobei, born 1911, O. Koronik, born in 1927, whose memories were recorded in 1992. O. Hordon, a teacher of junior classes, and L. Hordon, a history teacher of Andriyvka High School, identified 158 victims.
The two mass graves of Holodomor victims, located at the beginning of the “new” cemetery, still stand without any cross or memorial. In 2007, a monument to the victims of the Holodomor was erected in the village.
